The Group 3 Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint (1200m) is the first of three Legs in the reinstated Singapore Three-Year-Old Challenge series this year.
Open only to three-year-old racehorses, the series kicks off with the Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint, then progresses to the Group 2 Singapore Three-Year-Old Classic (1400m) and culminates with the Group 2 Singapore Guineas (1600m), all held in the months of April and May.
Last year, in the absence of the Singapore Guineas, the Tim Fitzsimmons-trained Golden Monkey dominated both the Singapore Three-Year-Old Sprint and the Singapore Three-Year-Old Classic, before going on to win the Champion Three-Year-Old award in that season.
