Inaugurated in 1997 in honour of the patrons of the Singapore Turf Club, the $110,000 Group 3 Silver Bowl (1400m) was formerly known as the Patron’s Bowl till 2017.
Previously run over 1400m, the race was staged over 1600m from 2010. In 2018, it was renamed as the Charity Bowl for a year and renamed to Silver Bowl the following year.
Since 2019, the feature race has been open to four-year-olds and has run over 1400m again. Following a two-year hiatus in 2021 and 2022, the 2023 Silver Bowl saw champion jockey Manoel Nunes partnering Super Salute to victory.
