The $300,000 Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup (1800m) is the second of three Legs in this year’s reinstated Singapore Triple Crown series - the Group 1 Raffles Cup (1600m) being the first Leg while the Group 1 Singapore Gold Cup (2000m) will be held as the third and final Leg.
Inaugurated in 1972 to mark the visit of the late Queen Elizabeth II to the Bukit Timah racecourse, Her Majesty also graced the feature race named in her honour in 2006 when it was held at the Kranji racecourse.
The Queen Elizabeth II Cup was last won by the Michael Clements-trained Prosperous Return.
