This year’s Colonial Chief Stakes will run on 2 December over 1700m on Polytrack for a prize purse of $110,000. Named after the Ivan Allan-trained Colonial Chief, the first horse to place Singapore on the world racing map after he won an international race – the Hong Kong Invitation Cup in 1989, it ran as the Proinn Construct Stakes until 2011.
Traditionally ran as the last feature race of the season, the Colonial Chief Stakes was last won by the Lee Freedman-trained Super Dynasty in 2020.
