Tote Board, formed in 1988, is a grant-making organisation with a compelling Mission to Giving Hope, Improving Lives of Singaporeans.  Tote Board carries out and fulfils its Mission, with the support of its agents - Singapore Pools and Singapore Turf Club. The operating surpluses of Singapore Pools and Singapore Turf Club, in addition to casino entry levies, are channelled to Tote Board to fund various programmes to achieve the strategic outcomes of providing equitable opportunities to vulnerable groups, build resilient communities and enhance the quality of life of Singaporeans.  We work collaboratively with stakeholders and partners, to identify pressing needs in the sectors of arts, community development, education, health, social service and sports. Over the last 10 years, we have donated more than $5.7 Billion to these sectors, to uplift the lives of the underprivileged and disadvantaged, and to enhance the quality of lives of Singaporeans.

The event to Celebrate Singapore’s 50th Birthday with Tote Board Family promises to be a memorable experience for an expected crowd of 10,000 visitors. There will be nostalgic activities, food and games, photograph exhibition gallery and stage show, suitable for all ages - the young and the seniors. Children can participate in a colouring contest with attractive prizes. Visitors can look forward to play traditional games such as chapteh, five stones, tic-tac-toe, humtum bola and savour the delicious traditional food items such as ting ting candy, kacang puteh and potong ice-cream. Visitors can also enjoy a made-in-Singapore stage show, featuring musical talents which Tote Board has funded, and performances by popular getai and xinyao singers with a special appearance from the cast of Ah Boys to Men. Visitors will be given a limited edition of the Tote Board Family’s FlashPay Card (whilst stocks last), specially designed and produced to commemorate the SG50 celebrations with the Tote Board Family.

The Tote Board Family, in collaboration with more than 10 of our partner Volunteer Welfare Organisations and Non-Government Organisations, will organise a Charity Bazaar at the event, with handicrafts and works of art on sale and the proceeds will be channelled to worthy charity causes.  As part of the Tote Board Family’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme, the staff of Tote Board Family will host and chaperon close to 1,000 beneficiaries, to ensure an unique and memorable experience for these beneficiaries at the event.

Admission and parking at the Singapore Racecourse are free for the event.
