Join us to commemorate the legacy of the Singapore Turf Club and submit your entries in our photo competition to win cash prizes!
The competition runs from 4 April to 30 August 2024, and is open to all residents of Singapore. Each participant may submit up to three entries during the competition period, with eligibility for one of the five prizes. The competition is not limited to the participants of photo walks, and all interested participants may enter.
We invite you to exhibit your interpretation of the Club’s beauty through digital photography. Please refrain from digital manipulation; minor adjustments such as colour correction and filters are permissible.
Entries will be evaluated based on 4 metrics: storytelling, composition, creativity and relevance.
Storytelling refers to the narrative impact of the image, whether the image conveys a story, evoke emotions or provoke thoughts in the viewer.
Composition refers to the effect and arrangement of the image presented, whether it is skillful and dynamic along with the consideration of balance and framing.
Creativity refers to the originality, uniqueness and novelty of the submission.
Relevance refers to the how well the image showcases the given theme of Singapore Turf Club: Capturing Our Beauty
Our esteemed judging panels, comprising of photographers Aiksoon and Yik Keat, alongside with representatives from the Singapore Turf Club, will identify the top five winners. The top five winners will receive cash prizes amounting to $500, $300, $200, $100 and $50 respectively, and have their winning photographs showcased at Singapore’s final horse race meeting on 5 October 2024.
Winners will be formally notified via email by September 2024. Kindly submit your photographs in JPEG format, ensuring file sizes remain below 5MB. High-resolution version may be requested for exhibition purposes.
