The Kranji Mile is a Group 1 race over 1,600m on turf. After some two years of racing behind closed doors, this year’s Kranji Mile is the first feature race since the Club welcomed the return of spectators. It features one of the highest prize purses in Singapore racing at $1 million. We are looking forward to the crowds cheering on the Kranji Mile and bringing back the Kranji roar.
First introduced in 2000, Kranji Mile replaced the Queen Elizabeth II Cup as one of the three legs of the Singapore Triple Crown series. Kranji Mile was slated as the first leg, while Raffles Cup (1,800m) and Singapore Gold Cup (2,200m) were the second and third legs. In 2018, Kranji Mile was revamped as an invitational race and no longer held as the first leg of the Singapore Triple Crown series. Since 2020, the Group 1 race is opened only to local runners.
