After a two-year hiatus, the Group 3 New Year Cup (1200m) has been reinstated as the first feature race to kick off the new year. Carrying a prize purse of $110,000, it is open to runners aged three years and older and was last won by Tan Kah Soon-trained Nowyousee in 2020, with Krisna Kumar aboard.
