CLASS 3 SC (A) 1400M
BOMBAY SLINGs (J Powell) barrier opened whilst being loaded, resulting in
the horse having to be reloaded.
SILVER ELEMENT (S Sam) was slow to begin.
KINGS RANSOM (App R Shafiq) steadied shortly after the start when ZAC
INFLUENCE (R Stewart) shifted outwards.
FELINE GROOVY (D Beasley) jumped away awkwardly.
TREASURE HUNTER (KK Ng) raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
AGENT OF SPEED (J Verenzuela) raced wide from the 800m.
BOMBAY SLING and SILVERON WINGS (B Voster) bumped making the turn
into the straight.
Near the 450m, KINGS RANSOM had to be eased off the heels of HOPKINS
(J Saimee), which rolled outwards marginally when held up on the heels of
FELINE GROOVY.
Near the 250m, MARTEL (J Moreira) checked when racing between AGENT OF
SPEED and BOMBAY SLING. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a
date to be fixed.
Passing the 200m, App Shafiq, the rider of KINGS RANSOM, dropped his off-
side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.
The Farrier reported that ASPEN HEIGHTS (O Placais) returned having cast
its near-fore plate.
After initially questioning App M Firdaus regarding the run of TEEN ANGEL,
the matter was adjourned in order to question Trainer S Burridge.

SUNDAY, 20 MARCH 2011:
RACE 6 [TF417]
At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 01 April 2011, Jockey R Stewart,
the rider of BOY, was found guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA
Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding BOY in the sixth race at the Singapore
Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 20 March 2011, near the 1300m, he allowed
his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in
SOUTHERN LION (N Cunha) and JURYS OUT (App A Feiruz) having to be
checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his
record, the degree of interference, carelessness and submissions from Jockey
Stewart that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on
Friday, 08 April 2011 and Sunday, 10 April 2011. The Stewards determined
to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the
commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday,
11 April 2011 until Sunday, 24 April 2011 both dates inclusive (four
Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
