STIPE'S REPORT RACE 6 (R114) Due to a printing error, the rider of MR SMALL should be read as Jockey M Marques and not Jockey M Wepner. Acting on a report from the Sample Collection Officer that SUREWINWAN did not arrive at the pre-race blood collection area within the prescribed time, the Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the gelding at 2:45pm. This matter will be investigated further. PAGSANJAN which was standing awkwardly with its head to the side, was slow to begin. BA BA RICH and PAGSANJAN were both slow to begin. At approximately the 1100M mark, BA BA RICH shifted in over the heels of MR SMALL and made contact with CIZEN PRINCESS. BA BA RICH which was then over- racing, had to steady off the heels of MR SMALL at about the 900M mark. CIZEN PRINCESS which was following, had to steady in this incident. Jockey R Woodworth, the rider of CIZEN PRINCESS, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of CIZEN PRINCESS revealed no obvious abnormality. The filly was impounded. A post-race veterinary examination of HEART BY HEART revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding was impounded. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that EASY STRIKE returned having cast its off hind plate and GOOD MEANING returned having cast its near hind plate.
