DIVISION 1

Due to the objection in Race 9, this race was put back five minutes and
rescheduled to start at 2255Hrs.

MALINGISA (R Stewart) was restless in the barrier. Trainer B Marcus was
advised that a warning has been placed on MALINGISA regarding its barrier
manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

FABULOUS KNIGHT (I Saifudin) was restless in the barrier. Trainer S Gray
was advised that a warning has been placed on FABULOUS KNIGHT regarding

Shortly after the start, SALVAGENTE (App CS Chin) lost ground when

Barnabas), which shifted outwards.

GUSTORIKO (O Chavez) raced wide without cover throughout.

SALVAGENTE got its head up on several occasions whilst overracing in the
early and middle stages.

In the early part of the straight, FABULOUS KNIGHT had difficulty obtaining a
clear run.

SENAPATHY laid inwards under pressure in the straight.

Jockey D Beasley, the rider of WINNING HEART, reported that his horse
returned lame. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse
returned lame off-fore. WINNING HEART will be required to pass a 1000m

SINGAPORE JANUARY MEETING 2011
SUNDAY, 02 JANUARY 2011:

RACE 3 [TF20]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Wednesday, 05 January 2011, Jockey O
Chavez, the rider of INCREDIBLE SON, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless
riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding INCREDIBLE SON in
the third race at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 02 January
2011, near the 300m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when
insufficiently clear of DANGER MONEY (R Fradd), thereby causing that
gelding to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into
account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness
and submissions from Jockey Chavez that he has been engaged to ride at the
Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 07 January 2011 and Sunday,
09 January 2011. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in
races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the
suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 10 January 2011 until
Saturday, 15 January 2011 both dates inclusive (two Race Days). He was
advised of his Right of Appeal.

RACE 7 [TF24]

An Inquiry into the riding of SPECIAL ACCOUNT (App T Rehaizat) was
concluded on Tuesday, 04 January 2011. App Rehaizat stated that he was
instructed to race off the pace and if possible to commence improving from
the 800m. He was also advised to carry the whip in the left hand as SPECIAL
ACCOUNT had shown a tendency to shift inwards under pressure. Trainer B
Dean confirmed the instructions. App Rehaizat stated that after commencing
well, SPECIAL ACCOUNT showed no early pace and he found himself back in
the field as expected. He further stated that he rode the gelding along at the
800m for a short distance. He also stated that shortly after entering the
straight, SPECIAL ACCOUNT laid inwards. Shortly after, he pulled the whip in
his left hand. However as it was the first time he had used the whip in his
left hand, he had difficulty in riding the gelding out fully. The Stewards
advised App Rehaizat that he would be given the benefit of the doubt,
however, he was advised that he must ride in a manner so as not to arouse
query and also to improve his proficiency in the use of the whip in his left
hand.

RACE 8 [TF25]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Tuesday, 04 January 2011, Jockey J
Powell, the rider of OUR HEIR APPARENT, was found guilty to a charge of
careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding OUR HEIR
APPARENT in the eighth race at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday,
02 January 2011, approaching the 900m, he did permit his mount to shift
inwards, when insufficiently clear of DONTELLTHEWIFE (App SH Low), which
checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his
record, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from
Jockey Powell that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race
Meetings on Friday, 07 January 2011 and Sunday, 09 January 2011. The
Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under
MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin
on Monday, 10 January 2011 until Sunday, 23 January 2011 both dates
inclusive (four Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he accepted two rides in the same race during
Declarations on Wednesday, 29 December 2010.
