STIPE'S REPORT RACE 5 (R1583) The Stewards permitted App J Lim to replace App K Yazid on BLUE STORM. This race was rescheduled to start at 4:15pm. REICHSMARK which stood and was considerably slow to begin, will be required to pass a test (starting stall) before being entered to race again. JOKER DELIGHT jumped awkwardly outwards, carrying FUTURE FORTUNE out onto MATTS FORTE which in turn shifted out, bumping BRILLIANT TYCOON out onto LEAN ON ME which carried BLUE STORM onto ROCKET GOLD. Passing the 1000M, MATTS FORTE shifted out and made contact with the hind quarters of FUTURE FORTUNE which then shifted in resulting in MATTS FORTE having to steady. BALLARAT and JOKER DELIGHT both raced keen in the early and middle stages. ROCKET GOLD which raced poorly, will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again. Jockey L Sofhan, the rider of MIYAGISAN, reported that his horse showed no interest in the race. A post-race veterinary examination of MIYAGISAN revealed no obvious abnormality. When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of FUTURE FORTUNE, Trainer C Robert advised the Stewards that he was unable to offer any explanation for the improved performance of the horse. He added that there was no stable support for this horse. His explanation was noted and his attention was drawn to the Rules regarding in and out running. At the conclusion of an Inquiry today, Jockey K Eirwan, the rider of BALLARAT, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding BALLARAT in this race, shortly after entering the home straight whilst riding his mount with the whip on his left hand, he permitted his mount to shift out, causing varying degrees of interference to the horses on his outside, namely, LEAN ON ME, MIYAGISAN, SUCH A GOOD TIME, REICHSMARK and BRILLIANT TYCOON. Jockey K Eirwan was suspended from riding in races for a period of five (5) race days with effect from 27th December 2010 and to expire on 9th January 2011, both days inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal (5:35pm).
