HIDDEN PROMISE
Began awkwardly.

O'REILLY'S DANCER
Held up from the 500m until passing the 400m where the gelding was shifted outwards to obtain clear running.

RED RIDING WOOD
Raced three wide without cover.
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder¿s test.

BLUE CHIP
Slow to begin.

HENG KINGDOM
Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
Rider reported that after being slow to begin, his mount raced flat throughout and was disappointing.
His explanation was noted. Impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

HUMDINGER
Shifted outwards abruptly on jumping. Raced four wide without cover.

YULONG FIRE
Prior to the running of Race 1, Trainer D Kok notified the Stewards that the tactics were to endeavour to ride the gelding forward with Blinkers on and step up in distance.
Settled in the lead.
Rider, when questioned, stated that it had not been his intention to lead but when runners drawn to his inside failed to go forward, he elected to allow his mount to go to the lead to avoid covering excessive ground. His explanation was noted.
Trainer D Kok, when questioned regarding today's apparent improved performance, stated that the gelding had worked and trialled well since its last start. He added that in his opinion, the step up in distance and the addition of Blinkers were factors which assisted today's performance. Trainer Kok also stated that it would be the Stable's intention to attempt to race forward over the similar distance in future. His explanation was noted.

CLOUD SHADOW
Checked passing the 200m.
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned with a cut on its off-hind leg.

Trainer S Gray was fined a sum of $200 in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to apply for a gear change to amend Special Plates on MILLENNIUM'S RULE (App T Krisna).

R Zawari, the rider of ATLANTIC FOX, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that passing the 200m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, whilst riding it along, resulting in CLOUD SHADOW being checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Zawari that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday, 30 August 2019. Jockey Zawari was suspended from riding in races with effect from Saturday, 31 August 2019 to Friday, 13 September 2019 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
