STIPE'S REPORT
ATLANTEAN
Trainer HW Tan, when questioned regarding the apparent improved performance, stated that the gelding was racing in a weaker field tonight and also having drawn a good barrier. His explanation was noted.

LOOKS GOOD
Raced wide.
Rider reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted back during the race.
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

HOST THE NATION
Bumped on jumping. Raced wide.

TAVITO
Prior to the running of Race 1, Trainer KS Tan notified the Stewards that the tactics were to endeavour to ride the gelding midfield as it had failed to finish off when ridden forward.
Settled midfield with cover.
Jumped outwards and bumped LUCKY TIGER. Raced keenly and proved difficult to settle in the middle stages. Held up and unable to improve rounding the hometurn.

MIKCAIPHO
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

LUCKY TIGER
Bumped on jumping.

KUBERA'S CHIEF
Near the 800m, shifted inwards inconveniencing WEST NORTH HILL, which had to be momentarily eased. Rider was warned to exercised greater care when shifting ground in future.

WEST NORTH HILL
Near the 800m, momentarily eased to avoid the heels of KUBERA'S CHIEF, which shifted inwards. Raced wide without cover from the 800m.

JK FLASH
Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly and shortly after, had to be eased to avoid the heels of TAVITO, which shifted inwards after being bumped.
Rider reported that the horse was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

RICH FORTUNE
Acting on veterinary advice that the horse was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1811Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

VENUS DE MILO
Bumped the hindquarters of HOST THE NATION, which shifted inwards on jumping.
