Prior to the running of Race 1, Trainer J Peters notified the Stewards that the tactics were to endeavour to ride the gelding off the speed to finish off.
Settled in a midfield position.
Crowded on jumping between MAKE U FAMOUS, which shifted inwards and CASSIS OOLONG. Raced keenly in the middle stages.

Jumped inwards and bumped SATELLITE STAR. When being corrected by its rider shortly after, shifted outwards making contact with the hindquarters of HALLELUJAH.

Was taken out and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice that the horse was found to have sustained an injury in the barrier, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1321Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

Tightened a short distance after the start.

Bumped MACHO MAN on jumping.

Shifted inwards on jumping, carrying PRESENT inwards. Raced wide without cover.
The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse was making respiratory noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned as a roarer. Will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

Checked a short distance after the start.

The Stewards have opened an Inquiry into the winning performance compared its previous starts and the difference in riding tactics that were adopted today. Evidence has been taken from Trainer KY Young and also Jockey I Saifudin and the matter has been adjourned to a time and date to be fixed when considering the provisions of MRA Rule 117(3), which reads, '
Notwithstanding the above, the Stipendiary Stewards may inquire into the performance of any horse in a race and should the performance of any horse be found to be inconsistent or unreliable it may be suspended from racing or training and in addition the Trainer may be held liable for any such performance where such inconsistency or unreliability is caused by or contributed to by the riding instructions of the Trainer, or the lack of such instructions.'

Raced four wide without cover.

Rider reported that the gelding travelled well in the early and middle stages, and initially responded to his hard riding in the early part of the straight, however, its run peaked near the 150m and CASSIS OOLONG gave ground over the concluding stages. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

CS Chin, the rider of RORY, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that a short distance after the start, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, tightening the running of MY WIN (S John), which in turn resulted in tightening to SO PERFECT (App N Zyrul) to the inside, which had to be checked after making contact with the hindquarters of MAKE U FAMOUS (TH Koh). When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. Jockey Chin was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 04 March 2019 to Sunday, 10 March 2019 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
