STIPE'S REPORT
MY FRIENDS
For a short distance after passing the 900m, raced ungenerously and laid outwards. Raced wide throughout.

REALLY CAPABLE
Shortly after the start, was eased to avoid the heels of CAI POH WANG, which shifted inwards slightly.
Near the 900m, was eased to avoid the heels of CAI POH WANG.

SACRED DON
Rider was warned to ensure that he leaves sufficient room for runners to his inside near the 600m.

KOKONI
Near the 450m, laid inwards, resulting in that gelding becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of REALLY CAPABLE and having to be steadied.

ALAMOSA EXPRESS
Checked and crowded for room making contact with the running rail for a number of strides near the 1300m.
Shortly after passing the 1200m, was eased to avoid the heels of CAI POH WANG, which shifted inwards to avoid the heels of SACRED DON, which was also shifting inwards.
Checked inside the 600m to avoid the heels of TIGER FORCE, which lost ground sharply.
A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

CAI POH WANG
Shifted outwards abruptly near the 900m and in doing so, inconvenienced REALLY CAPABLE, which had to be eased.

ELITE TRIPLEEIGHT
Jumped away awkwardly.

TIGER FORCE
Inside the 600m, was tightened for room and then reacted after making contact with the running rail, got unbalanced and lost ground sharply when racing to the inside of CAI POH WANG, which on the evidence, was laying inwards and away from SACRED DON. After considering all the evidence tendered by the riders and assessing the Stewards' available Video Footage which was inconclusive, the Stewards could not be satisfied with attributing blame to any particular rider and therefore, took no further action except to warn R Woodworth, the rider of SACRED DON, to ensure that he leaves sufficient room for runners to his inside.

As there was no suitable Apprentice available, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey N Juglall to replace App CC Wong on ROAN RANGER.

R Woodworth, the rider of SACRED DON, was fined a sum of S$500 under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip approaching the Winning Post.

App WS Chan, the rider of TIGER FORCE, in the presence of Senior Rider, Jockey R Woodworth, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that near the 1300m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of ALAMOSA EXPRESS (R Zawari), resulting in that horse being crowded for room and making contact with the running rail for a number of strides. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Chan was suspended from riding in races with effect from Saturday, 09 February 2019 to Sunday, 17 February 2019 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
