Began awkwardly.

AUTUMN CENTURY
Began awkwardly.
Rider, when questioned regarding the gelding performing below market expectation, stated that his instructions were to settle the gelding just off the pace, however, the gelding pulled hard in the early and middle stages. He added that it failed to respond to his riding in the homestraight and was disappointing. His explanation was noted. Impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse returned lame off-fore and exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. Will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

ARARAT LADY
Became unbalanced on jumping after being bumped by BURKAAN.

GRAND KOONTA
Jumped awkwardly inwards making contact with MISS MICHELLE, which in turn bumped OL MATE BUZZER. Raced wide without cover.

OL MATE BUZZER
Was bumped at the start by MISS MICHELLE, which was carried inwards by GRAND KOONTA.

MISS MICHELLE
Contacted on jumping by GRAND KOONTA.
The Farrier reported that the horse returned having cast its off-fore plate.

LUCKY MASTER
Rider, when questioned regarding the tactics adopted tonight, explained that he was instructed to ride his mount where comfortable and to be mindful that the horse has had a respiratory disorder in the past and if he rides the horse too hard in the early stages, it would be detrimental to its chances. He further added that he was satisfied with the level of vigour he displayed in the straight bearing in mind his mount ran on only fairly and it was a little one-paced. Rider was advised that the level of vigour in the straight was of concern and he was reminded of his obligations under the Rules to ensure his mount is ridden out in a manner which leaves no room for query.

BURKAAN
Jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped ARARAT LADY. Raced keenly in the early stages.

FEROCIOUS
Slow to begin.
