Was carried wider o ver the final 100m.

Laid inwards passing the 400m.

VERIZON G BOSS
Passing the 400m, shifted outwards to obtain clear running and made contact with WAIALAE.

DON DE LA VEGA
Rider, when questioned regarding the gelding performing below market expectation, stated that the gelding travelled well throughout, however, when placed under pressure near the 500m, failed to respond as he would have expected and was slightly disappointing over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted. Impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

PER INPOWER
Dislodged its rider enroute to the barrier before galloping riderless for some distance. To avoid unnecessary delay, it was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 2200Hrs.

SATELLITE WARRIOR
Laid outwards under pressure over the final 200m carrying LUCKY HADA and WAIALAE wider on the track.

Rider was warned for permitting his mount to shift ground shortly after the start when not fully clear.

WAIALAE B THOMPSON
Bumped near the 400m. Was carried wider over the final 100m.

GRATUS
Dislodged its rider enroute to the barrier before galloping riderless for some distance. To avoid unnecessary delay, it was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 2200Hrs.

O'REILLY STAR
Near the 1200m, raced in restricted room for a short distance between LUCKY HADA to its outside and SUPER TYCOON to its inside. After passing the 400m, had to be shifted outwards to obtain clear running from behind the heels of SUPER TYCOON, which laid inwards.

MONEY KING
Shortly after the start, had to be eased to avoid the heels of LUCKY HADA, which had been carried inwards by SATELLITE WARRIOR.

HOLY GRAIL
Restless in the barrier. Trainer B Marsh was warned and advised to improve its barrier manners.

SINGAPORE 07 DECEMBER MEETING 2018

2 coded urine post race Jockeys' samples from the above-mentioned race meeting were received for analysis under the MRA Rules and Regulations.

All samples were analysed and none failed except for the sample with Sample Coding No. J-4299 which revealed the presence of Codeine / Morphine and upon decoding was found to have been taken from Jockey N Juglall.

Stewards after being notified of the failed sample, in accordance with MRA Rule 136(3)(b), stood Jockey Juglall down on Thursday, 17 January 2019. A subsequent sample provide by Jockey Juglall provided a negative result.

At an Inquiry which was concluded on Tuesday, 22 January 2019, evidence was tendered that Jockey Juglall was under medication (cough syrup) prescribed by a Medical Practitioner. The Singapore Turf Club Chief Analyst confirmed that the Laboratory findings were consistent with the medication prescribed to Jockey Juglall. Steward¿s were satisfied that the failed sample was as a result of this medication, and took no direct action regarding the failed sample result.

Evidence was also tendered that Jockey Juglall had not declared this medication when duly required to and on the appropriate MRA Declaration Form. As such, Jockey Juglall pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 136(5)(c) in that when selected to provide a urine sample on Friday, 07 December 2018, he did not declare that he was taking cough syrup as part of his medication. Jockey Juglall was fined a sum of S$2000 and advised of his Right of Appeal.

On Tuesday, 22 January 2019, Trainer S Burridge advised that EVERYBODY HAPPY (S Noh) advised that the gelding had pulled up satisfactorily however showed signs of having a hard run after leaving some feed over the week-end. He added that he will lighten its training schedule.

On Tuesday, 22 January 2019, Trainer D Logan advised that she was satisfied with the performance of HIPPO VENTURA (B Thompson) performing up to its best however did go down on all four fetlocks behind during the race and in future will bandage all four legs.

On Tuesday, 22 January 2019, Trainer ZL Mok advised that CAI POH WANG (M Rodd) had pulled up with signs that were consistent with it having a hard run. He felt that the horse pulled too hard and would look to place the gelding in a race of a shorter distance.
