STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 6 (R1452)

HANDSOME NIC which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.

GOOD JUDGEMENT reared on jumping.

WHY BE jumped awkwardly outwards and made contact with NEVER BEEN BETTER.

FIRE KINGDOM laid out from the 150M to the finish.

Jockey S Salee, the rider of TIME SPEED, was shown the film of his ride in the concluding stages and was fined RM1000/- under MRA Rule 41(6) for using his whip in an excessive manner on TIME SPEED from the 300M to the finish.

A post-race veterinary examination of WHY BE revealed no obvious abnormality.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that JOKER EXPRESS returned having cast its off fore plate.

Jockey N Callow, the rider of WHY BE, was stood down by the Club Medical Officer for the remainder of the day as well as tomorrow.

When questioned regarding the disappointing performance of NEVER BEEN BETTER, App HS Gill, the rider of NEVER BEEN BETTER, stated that after jumping away awkwardly, his mount could not muster the early speed despite being urged along. He attributed the geldings poor performance to the soft underfoot conditions today. Trainer BT Lim concurred with his riders assessment that NEVER BEEN BETTER could not handle the going and he undertook to report back to the Stewards if there is anything amiss with the gelding during the week. A post-race veterinary examination of NEVER BEEN BETTER revealed no obvious abnormality. The gelding was impounded.
