STIPE'S REPORT
RACE 4 [TF1368]
CLASS 4 LC (D) 1600M

RINDA JADE (S John) was restless in the barrier. Trainer HK Tan was advised that a warning has been placed on RINDA JADE regarding its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.

SUPER VELOCITY (V Duric) and SANTANA (S Sam) were both slow to begin.

In the backstraight, RINDA JADE proved difficult to settle and got its head up on a number of occasions.

WINDSPOUT (O Chavez) raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

ZAC VELOCITY (YF Leong) raced wide without cover throughout.

Shortly after making the turn into the straight, RINDA JADE was bumped by WINDSPOUT, which shifted outwards to improve.

WINDSPOUT laid inwards over the final 250m.

Passing the 100m, VINCINTORE (B Vorster) had to be steadied off the heels of WINDSPOUT, which was laying inwards.

Jockey J Powell, when questioned regarding the run of SAMURAI KING, stated that the gelding had not travelled well throughout and failed to respond when placed under pressure. His explanation was noted. SAMURAI KING was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

Jockey R Stewart, when questioned regarding the run of FLASH GORDON, stated that after being caught wide in the early and middle stages, he switched outwards for a run in the straight. However, FLASH GORDON failed to respond when placed under pressure. His explanation was noted. FLASH GORDON was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination.
