FOUR ACES raced keen in the early and middle stages.
Passing the 200M mark, CIZEN BANK had to steady off the heels of FOUR ACES which shifted out when not quite clear. Jockey J Chuah, the rider of FOUR ACES, was shown the video of the incident and warned to exercise more care when shifting ground in future.
Post-race veterinary examinations of HUMBLE PRINCE and SPEEDY TIGER revealed no obvious abnormality. Both geldings were impounded.
When questioned regarding the apparent improved performance of CRIMSON AGATE, Trainer KP Hoy advised the Stewards that in its last run on 8th August 2010 in KL, the horse was drawn Barrier 16 and was consequently trapped wide throughout the race, however, CRIMSON GATE was drawn well today and he had kept it fresh for todays run. These factors, in his opinion, had accounted for the improved performance of the horse. His explanation was noted and his attention was drawn to the Rules regarding in and out running.
