STIPE'S REPORT RACE 5 [TF1139] CLASS 4 LC (A) 1800M Jockey R Fradd, the rider of TOLMON NIKA, was fined S$200 for negligence in terms of MRA Rule 152(5)(a) in that he accepted two rides in the same race during Declarations on Wednesday, 08 September 2010. Due to the delay at the barrier in Race 4, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1505Hrs. ACE AVIDA (S Cormack) was crowded on jumping between STREET LEGAL (R Stewart) and TOLMON NIKA, which jumped inwards. TOLMON NIKA was difficult to settle in the early stages. Making the turn into the straight, SUPER VELOCITY (V Duric) rolled outwards, thereby carrying HOSS CARTWRIGHT (B Vorster) out onto the heels of TOLMON NIKA. TOLMON NIKA laid inwards in the straight and near the 200m, Jockey Fradd had his whip knocked out of his hand by the whip of Jockey Stewart, the rider of STREET LEGAL when racing tight to the outside of that gelding. ACE AVIDA laid inwards in the straight. HOSS CARTWRIGHT and SURGESS (YF Leong) , which both raced poorly, each will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again. Trainer J Meagher, when questioned regarding the improved performance of STREET LEGAL, stated that the gelding was better suited on the turf and down in class slightly. His explanation was noted.
