STIPE'S REPORT
LISBOA STAR (J De Souza) threw its head up on jumping and was slow to begin as a consequence. When questioned, Jockey J De Souza reported that it was his intention to ride the race from a handy position. However, after a slow jump, he was unable to make progress when interference occurred in front of him at about the 1000M. Thereafter he attempted to gradually improve his position from the 600M and stated that LISBOA STAR finished the race well but that the ground forfeited in the early stages had prevented him from obtaining a better finishing position.

Approaching the 1000M, LINCOLN'S EXCUSE (App S Uzair) rolled inwards causing STAR STRIKE (O Chavez) to shy away and bump D'GREAT BULLET (App KC Wong) which bumped THE MILLIONAIRE (S Ipek) on his inside. JUBILATION (M Zairi) was forced to check at this stage to avoid the heels of D'GREAT BULLET and LISBOA STAR was forced to check in turn to avoid the heels of JUBILATION. App S Uzair was shown the vision of the incident and warned that he would be expected to demonstrate greater awareness to horses on his inside when racing in a tight field.

Approaching the 600M, THE MILLIONAIRE was forced to check to avoid the heels of D'GREAT BULLET which rolled in briefly.

JERAM VILLAGE (S Ruzaini) laid outwards between the 500M and the 400M, then commenced to lay inwards at about the 300M and brushed with THE MILLIONAIRE which became unbalanced.

A post-race veterinary examination of STAR STRIKE revealed that the gelding bled and will be barred from racing for a period of three (3) months under MRA Rule 92(3), and thereafter will be required to pass a bleeder's test before being declared to race again.
