STIPE'S REPORT
1 CATCH THE TIGER E ASLAM - Checked severely approaching the Winning Post when disappointed for a clear run between SOTHISTHEONE and MON ENERGY, which shifted outwards under pressure

2 GAMELY B VORSTER - Jumped awkwardly outwards.

4 GOOD LUCK CHARM O PLACAIS - Bumped FULL LUCK on jumping.

6 FULL LUCK K A'ISISUHAIRI - Bumped GOOD LUCK CHARM on jumping. Rider was unable to ride his mount out to the Winning Post when disappointed for a clear run over the concluding stages.

7 ATLANTEAN M RODD - Prior to the start, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

Raced wide without cover.

8 MON ENERGY V DURIC - Rider was warned for failing to make sufficient effort to straighten his mount over the concluding stages when shifting ground outwards under pressure.

9 MY MIRACLE N JUGLALL - Fractious in the barrier. Will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

Jumped awkwardly outwards. When making good ground in the homestraight, had to be steadied and shifted inwards passing the 200m when having a tendency to shift ground outwards.

11 STAY THE COURSE M KELLADY - Restless in the barrier. Trainer S Baertschiger was warned and advised to improve its barrier manners.

Slow to begin.

Checked passing the 100m.

Rider reported that his mount was inclined to lay inwards in the homestraight. He further added that the gelding received pressure from SPIRIT OF D'WIND, resulting in him having to check his mount over the concluding stages. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

12 TAX FREE APP S NOH - Raced wide without cover.

13 RIVER HAPPINESS R WOODWORTH - Course Scratching - maximum field

14 DUXTON APP T SEE - Course Scratching - maximum field

As there was no similar claiming rider available, the Stewards gave permission for App S Noh to replace App AK Lim on TAX FREE.

App WH Kok, the rider of SPIRIT OF D'WIND, in the presence of his Master, Trainer S Burridge, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that passing the 100m, he did direct his mount to shift outwards to obtain clear running, when insufficiently clear of STAY THE COURSE (M Kellady), resulting in that horse being taken outwards and had to be checked off the heels of TAX FREE (App S Noh). When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. In assessing penalty, the Stewards were mindful that App Kok has been granted a three months' tenure with the Tasmania Racing Authority commencing on Tuesday, 11 December 2018. Therefore, it was determined that the most appropriate penalty be in these unique circumstances that his licence to ride in races be suspended for three Tasmania Race Days commencing from Monday, 10 December 2018 to Saturday, 15 December 2018 both dates inclusive and was advised of his Right of Appeal.
