STIPE'S REPORT
KEEP WINNING
Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
Inclined to lay outwards under pressure over the concluding stages.

GANNET
Rider, when questioned regarding the gelding performing below market expectation, stated that the gelding settled back and travelled reasonably well until when the field gathered momentum near the 600m, his mount was one-paced and ran on fairly in the homestraight under hard riding. His explanation was noted. Impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

WHIZZY WALTZZY
Near the 350m, momentarily tightened between GINGERMAN and SOUTHERN GLORY, which shifted inwards slightly.

SOUTHERN GLORY
Raced three wide without cover from the 700m.

GOOD WARRIOR
Jumped awkwardly outwards hampering CROWN DELIGHT.
Rider, when questioned regarding the poor performance of GOOD WARRIOR, stated that the gelding travelled well until near the 700m, at which point his mount had to be ridden along in an effort to improve and then from the 500m, gave ground and weakened badly over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

CROWN DELIGHT
Hampered on jumping.
Rider reported that it was not his intention to lead in the race, however, after beginning well from a wide barrier, he allowed the gelding to stride forward. He added that CROWN DELIGHT then raced keenly in the early and middle stages and he was unable to steady the gelding as his reins had become slippery due to the gelding sweating profusely which affected his grip on the reins.
Rider was warned to ensure that he rides his mounts out to the end of the race.
