MONEY KING Raced wide without cover.
WONDERFUL PAINT Hung inwards quite badly inside the 300m, resulting in OLIVER having to be steadied and shifted outwards to avoid that horse's heels after passing the 200m. Then continued to lay inwards quite badly over the concluding stages, resulting in ROMAN CLASSIC having to be checked to avoid that horse's heels near the 50m.

The Stewards were satisfied that the main cause for the interference was the racing manners of WONDERFUL PAINT, therefore no direct action was taken other than a warning be placed on the horse regarding its racing manners.

CHIEF CLERK Prior to the running of Race 4, Trainer S Baertschiger advised the Stewards that his instructions to the rider, if circumstances permit, to ride back from a wide barrier in an effort to get the gelding to finish the race off.

Settled towards the rear.

FIRST LIGHT Reared as the start was effected and lost ground.
KATE'S KEEPER Pulled very hard in the early and middle stages.

O'REILLY BAY Jumped away awkwardly.

Rider was reprimanded and reminded to ride his mount out right to the Winning Post.

ROMAN CLASSIC When overracing, had to be checked off the heels of COGNITIVE INTACT near the 1100m. Checked near the 50m.

HOUSEBOAT HARRY Overraced when the tempo steadied mid race. Near the 500m, got unbalanced when restrained to avoid the heels of KATES KEEPER and then shifted inwards abruptly to obtain a clear run.

OLIVER Which was a little slow to begin, was then crowded for room between SMART RACER and TUSCAN ARTIST, which shifted inwards abruptly at the start. Steadied off the heels of WONDERFUL PAINT near the 200m.

Rider, when questioned, stated that the gelding travelled well throughout, however, only finished the race off fairly. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

COGNITIVE INTACT Rider dropped his near-side rein on two occasions between the 400m and the 250m.

DANGER ZONE Rider, when questioned, stated that the gelding was under pressure throughout and could offer no tangible explanation for the gelding's performance. His explanation was noted. Impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported no apparent abnormality.

BOUNCEBACK ABILITY Course Scratching - maximum field

Near the 200m, App I Amirul, the rider of KATES KEEPER, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.
