An Objection was lodged by Jockey Placais, the rider of second placegetter, FAME STAR, against AUTUMN ASSAULT, being declared the winner, on the grounds of interference over the final 200m. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that near the 200m, AUTUMN ASSAULT laid inwards slightly. Although there appeared to be sufficient room to the inside of AUTUMN ASSAULT, FAME STAR checked outwards to the outside of AUTUMN ASSAULT. The Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that there was no significant interference to warrant any alteration to the placings. As such, the Objection was overruled and the result stood. Jockey Placais was fined a sum of S$2,000 in terms of MRA Rule 122(3) for lodging an Objection which the Panel of Stewards deemed to be frivolous.
