Shortly after the start, was crowded when carried outwards by MILLION ROUND and making heavy contact with the hindquarters of AUSPICIOUS ACE.

PERFECT COMMANDO
Near the 350m, momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of PARAGON STAR, which shifted inwards under pressure.

AUSPICIOUS ACE
Jumped away awkwardly. Bumped heavily shortly after the start. Raced keenly in the backstraight.

A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Thursday, 22 February 2018, Jockey M Kellady, the rider of O'REILLY DANCER, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding O'REILLY DANCER in Race 7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 14 January 2018, shortly after passing the 200m, he permitted his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of LUCKY JUSTICE (App WS Chan), resulting in that gelding having to be checked.. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Kellady that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 23 February 2018 and Friday, 02 March 2018. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Saturday, 03 March 2018 until Friday, 09 March 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Zaki that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday, 23 February 2018, Friday, 02 March 2018 and Sunday, 04 March 2018. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 05 March 2018 until Sunday, 11 March 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 23 February 2018, Jockey R Curatolo, the rider of RED CLAW, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding RED CLAW in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 09 February 2018, near the 200m, he placed his mount to the inside of NOVA CLASSIC (M Zaki) where there was insufficient room to do so and continued to ride his mount along, resulting in MIKAIPHO (N Juglall) having to check. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from Jockey Curatolo that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meeting on Friday, 23 February 2018, Friday, 02 March 2018 and Sunday, 04 March 2018. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 05 March 2018 until Sunday, 11 March 2018 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

REPORT FROM THE HEAD VETERINARY SURGEON ON MONDAY, 12 FEBRUARY 2018 THAT HALO BRIGHT (C21) FROM TRAINER R LE GRANGE'S STABLES HAD NOT BEEN VACCINATED AS REQUIRED IN TERMS OF MRA REGULATION 20.1

Trainer R Le Grange was fined a sum of S$1,000 under MRA Regulation 20.6 by failing to ensure that the Vaccinations were current for HALO BRIGHT (C21) as required under MRA Regulation 20.1.


REPORT FROM THE HEAD VETERINARY SURGEON ON THURSDAY, 15 FEBRUARY 2018 THAT HIMALAYA DRAGON (N318) FROM TRAINER KS TAN'S STABLES HAD NOT BEEN VACCINATED AS REQUIRED IN TERMS OF MRA REGULATION 20.1

Trainer KS Tan was fined a sum of S$1,000 under MRA Regulation 20.6 by failing to ensure that the Vaccinations were current for HIMALAYA DRAGON (N318) as required under MRA Regulation 20.1.

On Monday, 19 February 2018, the Veterinary Surgeon reported that SHABBAT (App CC Wong) returned not striding out freely. SHABBAT cannot race for seven days and will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from App Kok that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 23 February 2018, Friday, 02 March 2018 and Sunday, 04 March 2018.
