AKASHI BROTHERS which was up 16kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start.
Trainer A Rahim was fined RM100/- under MRA Rule 65(5)(b) for failing to produce the declared colours on PRINCE OMAHA.
APACHE EAGLE jumped awkwardly.
AKASHI BROTHERS was slow into stride
Turning into the home straight at about the 400M, CONCRESCENCE switched in over the heels of PRINCE OMAHA to obtain a clear run and passing the150M mark, switched out over the heels of HAPPYSOLUCKY and in so doing, carried PRINCE OMAHA outwards.
App S Thai Yang, the rider of ACE AGUERO, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of ACE AGUERO which trailed off in the home straight, revealed that it was lame off fore. The gelding will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet) before being entered to race again.

INQUIRY CONCERNING URINE SAMPLE CODED J-2163 WHICH WAS TAKEN ON 13TH JUNE 2010 AT THE SELANGOR TURF CLUB JUNE MEETING 2010 AND RETURNED POSITIVE TO FUROSEMIDE, WHICH IS A PROHIBITED SUBSTANCE IN TERMS OF MRA RULES
The Stewards opened an Inquiry into the above matter on 4th July at the Penang Turf Club. Evidence was taken from App R Vikram, in the presence of his Master, Trainer T Yeoh, Prof Dr Tan Soo Choon, the Chief Analyst, Usains Holding Sdn Bhd, and Dr Parmjit Singh a/l Kuldip Singh, the Club Medical Officer. The Stewards adjourned the Inquiry to a date to be fixed in order to obtain further evidence.
