STIPE'S REPORT
Due to transport difficulties, App T See, the rider of FLASH ONE, failed to arrive on course by the prescribed time. As such, permission was given for App CC Wong to replace App T See on FLASH ONE.

FLASH ONE jumped away awkwardly and in so doing, made contact with I'VE GOT A FEELING (J Powell).

Shortly after the start, ELITE WARRIOR (R Shafiq) eased when crowded between FIRST LIGHT (V Duric) and SIGLAP BIRD (D David), which was carried outwards by MASURAO (A Munro).

Approaching the 1000m, BAFFERT (K Teetan) commenced to overrace and got its head up when being eased off the heels of FIRST LIGHT.

FLASH ONE raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 350m, ELITE WARRIOR was buffeted between LIM'S BLAST (G Boss) and BAYU (W Pike), which rolled inwards slightly.

Passing the 300m, BAYU and ELITE WARRIOR both checked when racing between LIM'S BLAST to its inside and SIGLAP BIRD, FIRST LIGHT and I'VE GOT A FEELING to their outside. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Passing the 200m, FIRST LIGHT shifted inwards and away from I'VE GOT A FEELING and in so doing, bumped LIM'S BLAST on a number of occasions, with LIM'S BLAST and FIRST LIGHT both becoming unbalanced.

An Objection was lodged by Jockey Duric, the rider of second placegetter, FIRST LIGHT, against I'VE GOT A FEELING, being declared the winner, on the grounds of interference in the straight. After deliberation and considering all of the evidence, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that near the 300m, FIRST LIGHT shifted to the inside of I'VE GOT A FEELING to attempt a marginal run. FIRST LIGHT was then carried inwards slightly. Taking into account the alleged interference and the manner in which both horses finished off the race, the Panel of Stewards were of the opinion that the alleged interference had not affected the result of the race. As such, the Objection was overruled and the result stood.

The Farrier reported that ELITE WARRIOR returned having cast its near-fore plate.

Jockey Boss, when questioned regarding the run of LIM'S BLAST, stated that the gelding travelled well throughout, and, upon entering the homestraight, when a run was presented to the inside of MASURAO approaching the 350m, he rode his mount aggressively in an attempt to improve. He added that when attempting the run, his mount became unbalanced after being bumped on a couple of occasions by MASURAO. He further added that LIM'S BLAST then improved and then struck further interference after passing the 200m, adding that in the circumstances, he felt the gelding performed well. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIM'S BLAST which revealed no apparent abnormality.
