STIPE'S REPORT RACE 4 (R725) Emergency acceptor, STAYIWILL was withdrawn due to a capacity field. MID SUN which was down 17kgs in body weight since its last run, was checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and was passed fit to start. The Stewards permitted Jockey J Low to replace Jockey C Goon on ILLUMINATOR as the latter was stood down by the Club Medical Officer. This race was rescheduled to start at 3:20pm. JOKER PLEASURE hesitated at the start and was a little slow to begin. ILLUMINATOR rolled out shortly after the start and brushed VERY POWERFUL. DANE STAR commenced to over-race and proved difficult to settle between the 1100M to the 900M. DANE STAR and JOKER PLEASURE were both obliged to race wide on the bend. Jockey N Azman, the rider of DANE STAR, was fined RM1000/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for dropping his whip at the top of the straight. He was further fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to report the matter to the Stewards. A post-race veterinary examination of MAGIC SMILEY revealed that the gelding returned exhibiting signs of respiratory infection and as such will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet after a 2-week embargo) before being entered to race again. The gelding was impounded. A post-race veterinary examination of LAFUAR revealed that it was lame off fore and as such will be required to pass a test (1000M/vet after a 2-week embargo) before being entered to race again. Post-race veterinary examinations of TRUE PARADISE and WINNING WARRIOR revealed no obvious abnormality. TRUE PARADISE was impounded.
