RACE 1 [TF624]
CLASS 4 LC (C) 1200M

Prior to the running of Race 1, Trainer D Baertschiger advised the Stewards that his instructions to Jockey B Vorster, the rider of MY NINJA, if circumstances permit, to ride off the pace.

QUEEN NARCISSUS (J Moreira) jumped awkwardly outwards bumping GYPSY MAGIC (M Du Plessis) out onto BOYLE (App J McDonald), which in turn made contact with SURPRISE SURPRISE (V Duric).

DAY OF EMPIRE (D Beasley) had a tendency to overrace in the early stages.

DAY OF EMPIRE was held up and unable to improve between the 400m and the 200m.

Shortly after passing the 300m, GUTSY BOXER (App M Ewe), which was laying inwards, made contact with HOW YOU SEE (YF Leong) resulting in that horse being unbalanced.

QUEEN NARCISSUS was inclined to hang inwards in the straight.

Approaching the 150m, PRIOR VISCOUNT (M Zaki) was held up and had to be taken outwards to obtain clear running.
