STIPE'S REPORT
As the start was effected, GOLDEN KINGDOM (App T See) became fractious and remained in the barrier. Subsequent to the race, after reviewing the films and prior to the `All Clear¿ being given, the Stewards were of the opinion that as the start was effected, GOLDEN KINGDOM became fractious and reared up, thereby becoming more fractious and remaining in the barrier. Evidence was taken from App T See and the Starter. App See confirmed that in his opinion that GOLDEN KINGDOM had solely contributed to it not jumping from the barrier and that the Attendant assisting with the horse had tried to assist in the safety of the rider and not prevented the horse from jumping. This was confirmed by the Stewards' Video Footage. As such, GOLDEN KINGDOM was not denied a fair start and GOLDEN KINGDOM was declared a runner. In view of its previous history, it will be required to pass two consecutive starting stall tests prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

Approaching the 800m, ELISE (I Saifudin) had to be steadied after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of WIJAYA (I Azhar).

SOUTHERN SPUR (V Duric) and POWER LIN (O Placais) both raced wide throughout.

For the majority of the homestraight, NORTHERN PRINCE (D David) laid inwards and in so doing, NORTHERN PRINCE shifted inwards and made contact with ELISE approaching the 300m.

TINGLE MARC (K A'Isisuhairi), which had a tendency to lay inwards, shifted inwards passing the 300m and made contact with LUCKY GIANT (S John).

Near the 200m, SOUTHERN SPUR was carried wider by RED CLAW (A Munro), which shifted outwards under pressure.
