BIRAZ (O Chavez) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped STEEL CUTTER (C Grylls). STEEL CUTTER was then momentarily crowded between COUNTRY WARRIOR (M Kellady) and BIRAZ, which continued to shift inwards.

BELLUS WONDER (S John) jumped awkwardly outwards and made slight contact with LIM'S REGARD (G Boss), resulting in BELLUS WONDER shifting inwards abruptly.

DUSSERDOLF (J Powell) and FLYING WINNER (App CC Wong) bumped on jumping.

Approximately 50m after the start, BIRAZ and STEEL CUTTER, which were both shifting outwards, were severely hampered when LIM'S REGARD shifted inwards abruptly. As a result, BIRAZ and STEEL CUTTER both lost ground.

COUNTRY WARRIOR raced wide throughout.

Near the 500m, COUNTRY WARRIOR was carried wider on the track when IMPERIAL MARCH (V Duric) shifted outwards to improve on its inside.

Near the 450m, FLYING WINNER was inconvenienced by SILENT ARROW (App S Shafrizal), which shifted outwards after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of BELLUS WONDER.

The Farrier reported that BELLUS WONDER returned having cast its near-fore plate.

Jockey Chavez reported that BIRAZ was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned having debris in its trachea.

Jockey Boss, when questioned regarding the run of LIM'S REGARD, stated that the gelding was inclined to hang outwards from the 800m and never travelled comfortable throughout. He further added that LIM'S REGARD was, in his opinion, disappointing. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIM'S REGARD which revealed that the horse returned having debris in its trachea.
