STIPE'S REPORT
Due to the objection in Race 4, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1505Hrs.

KASHAN (O Chavez) was slow to begin.

Approaching the 500m, Jockey Chavez, the rider of KASHAN, dropped his whip. He was subsequently warned that a repetition of dropping his whip may lead to a penalty being imposed in future.

Passing the 300m, KING OF THIEVES (O Placais) eased when racing to the inside of SUPER BIG (App S Noh) and HAPPY JOY (M Zaki). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Shortly after passing the 200m, GOOD LUCKY (TH Koh) checked when racing between ALADDIN (App T Krisna) and KING CROSS (B Vorster). An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

Jockey R Woodworth reported that POMP was making respiratory noises. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned with epiglottic entrapment. POMP will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being entered to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SUPER BIG which revealed that the horse returned as a roarer. The Veterinary Surgeon also advised that SUPER BIG had previously undergone corrective surgery for this condition.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BASTION (N Juglall) which revealed no apparent abnormality.
