RACE 6 [TF1131]
TABCORP HOLDINGS LIMITED TROPHY
CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1200M

Permission was granted for Jockey M Nunes to replace Jockey M Rodd on AUGUSTANO as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Rodd was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

WHITE COFFEE (M Zaki) was slow into stride.

PARKER (N Juglall) was crowded on jumping between KATAGAS (V Duric), which jumped inwards and ROYAL GUARD (M Kellady), which jumped outwards.

Approaching the 1100m, KATAGAS was carried inwards and bumped by FLASH ONE (App T See) on two occasions when that gelding shifted inwards and away from AUGUSTANO, which was also shifting inwards. As a result, KATAGAS bumped the hindquarters of ROYAL GUARD and had to be eased. KATAGAS then raced keenly for some distance thereafter.

ROYAL GUARD, FLASH ONE and PARKER all raced wide throughout.

LEGENDARY SUN (App CC Wong) was held up for clear running from the 600m until near the 300m.

Approaching the 400m, LIM'S STARDOM (O Placais) was bumped heavily by ROYAL GUARD, which shifted inwards abruptly after making slight contact with KATAGAS. As a result of the bump, both ROYAL GUARD and LIM'S STARDOM became unbalanced.

Near the 250m, App CK Ng, the rider of ALARANCH, dropped his off-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.

Approaching the 200m, LEGENDARY SUN, which was improving, had to be eased when disappointed for a run between ROYAL GUARD and LIM'S STARDOM, which shifted outwards under pressure.

Near the 100m, THE WIND (I Saifudin) had to be steadied to avoid the heels of PARKER, which shifted outwards abruptly.

For the majority of the homestraight, ALARANCH laid outwards, resulting in its rider having to stop riding and straighten the mare on a number of occasions.

Over the concluding stages, ALARANCH was crowded for room between MOON CHARM (B Vorster) and LIM'S STARDOM, which shifted inwards under pressure.

The Farrier reported that PARKER returned having cast its near-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LEGENDARY SUN which revealed no apparent abnormality.
