STIPE'S REPORT
SPLINTER (V Duric), which was restless in the barrier, was slightly slow to begin.

SUPER SIX (App T See), which was slow to begin, lost ground after being bumped heavily by UNSURPASSED (App CK Ng), which after blundering on jumping, shifted outwards abruptly. UNSURPASSED and PURE JUSTICE (C Grylls) then bumped.

NOVA WARRIOR (M Zaki) began awkwardly.

SUPER SIX and SPLINTER both raced wide throughout.

Near the 300m, SPLINTER was carried wider on the track by UNSURPASSED, which was carried outwards slightly by POLE PARADISE (D David).

POLE PARADISE mis-strode near the 100m.

Approaching the 100m, LUMINIFF LAD (App N Nurshahril) had to be eased to avoid the heels of UNSURPASSED, which shifted inwards under pressure. App Ng was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Jockey I Azhar, the rider of MR LUCK, reported that the gelding had returned with its saddle having shifted sideways during the race.

Jockey J Powell, when questioned regarding the run of RED DAWN, stated that the gelding never travelled comfortably throughout which he attributed to the tempo of today's race being too quick for RED DAWN. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on RED DAWN which revealed no apparent abnormality.
