STIPE'S REPORT
Permission was granted for Jockey M Nunes to replace Jockey G Boss on PEACE WANTED as the latter was unable to make the weight. Jockey Boss was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

Prior to the start, IMPEDIMENT (App CK Ng) was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race.

WINNING MAN (M Ewe) was slow to begin.

Shortly after the start, LIM'S SINCERE (App R Zawari), which began awkwardly, shifted inwards abruptly and carried SATELLITE PRINCE (App M Jailani) in onto PEACE WANTED, which bumped the hindquarters of LIM'S SIGNATURE (D David). As a result, PEACE WANTED became unbalanced and lost ground.

Shortly after the start, IMPEDIMENT had to be eased to avoid the heels of SPECIAL KING (S John), which shifted inwards abruptly.

Near the 700m, LIVELY DRAGON (App P Dellorto) eased to avoid the heels of LIM'S SINCERE, which shifted inwards.

RAINBOW ROYAL (C Grylls) and LIM'S SIGNATURE both raced wide throughout.

Near the 500m, RAINBOW ROYAL steadied to avoid the heels of BARNATO (B Vorster), which shifted outwards when improving.

For the majority of the homestraight, RUN IT TWICE (App CS Chin) and LIM'S SIGNATURE raced tightly and brushed on a number of occasions.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 01 September 2017, Jockey TH Koh, the rider of SUPER BALL, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding SUPER BALL in Race 3 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 30 July 2017, after passing the 800m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, resulting in MAIDANZ BEAUTY (G Boss), POWER LIN (O Placais) and RIVER GOLD (M Zaki) all being crowded for room. SINGAPORE AUGUST MEETING 2017
FRIDAY, 04 AUGUST 2017:

RACE 6 [TF0977]

On Thursday, 31 August 2017, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the reasons for MAGIC PAINT (I Saifudin) having to check when racing to the inside of JOHN DUKE (E Aslam), RUN CHEETAH RUN (N Juglall), HOT GOLD (M Rodd) and LET'S TALK NOW (App S Shafrizal) near the 800m. Shortly thereafter, RUN CHEETAH RUN was carried inwards by HOT GOLD, which laid inwards. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken.

RACE 7 [TF0978]

On Tuesday, 29 August 2017, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the reasons for PHIDIAS (R Woodworth) having to check when racing between LINCOLN'S EXCUSE (M Kellady) to its inside and SOONBABY (O Placais) and MORITZ ECLIPSE (K A¿Isisuhairi) near the 1000m. It was established that near the 1000m, PHIDIAS was bumped by both LINCOLN¿S EXCUSE, which shifted outwards slightly and SOONBABY, which after improving quickly to the outside of PHIDIAS, shifted inwards and away from MORITZ ECLIPSE, which was shifting inwards. As a result of being bumped, PHIDIAS became unbalanced, LINCOLN¿S EXCUSE was turned outwards and SOONBABY was turned inwards, further crowding PHIDAIS, which had to be checked. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken.
