SINGAPORE MAY MEETING 2017
SUNDAY, 21 MAY 2017:

RACE 7 [TF0665]

On Monday, 21 August 2017, the Stewards concluded an Inquiry into the reasons for GANNET (M Nunes) having to check when racing between MR CONNERY (K A'Isisuhairi) and MIGHTY EMPEROR (N Juglall) near the 350m. It was established that near the 350m, GANNET, which was racing tightly between MIGHTY EMPEROR and MR CONNERY, brushed with MR CONNERY, which laid inwards. As a result, GANNET made contact with the hindquarters of MIGHTY EMPEROR, which was laying outwards, resulting in MIGHTY EMPEROR being turned outwards and MR CONNERY being turned inwards, with GANNET being severely crowded and having to be checked. In the circumstances, no blame could be attributed to any rider and as such, no further action was taken.
