Due to a delay in the start time of Race 7, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 2225Hrs.

STAR INVINCIBLE (M Nunes) jumped awkwardly inwards at the start and bumped SUN SEEKER (App CC Wong) in onto TRIGAMY (O Chavez).

SOON YI (S John) was crowded on jumping between MORALES (K A'Isisuhairi) and BOARD WALK (N Juglall), which jumped awkwardly inwards. SOON YI was then bumped by SOLITAIRE (App M Poon), which shifted inwards.

LUCKY GIANT (App R Zawari) and BOARD WALK both raced wide throughout.

SUN SEEKER was held up and unable to improve between the 500m and the 300m.

Passing the 100m, SUN SEEKER had to be eased off the heels of LUCKY GIANT, which shifted inwards under pressure.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Thursday, 10 August 2017, App K Nuh, the rider of GOLDEN MILE, in the presence of his Master, Trainer C Brown, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding GOLDEN MILE in Race 7 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Friday, 21 July 2017, passing the 800m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear, thereby resulting in THUNDER CAT (O Placais) having to check. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Nuh was suspended from riding in races with immediate effect from Thursday, 10 August 2017 to Friday, 18 August 2017 both dates inclusive (three Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 11 August 2017, App CC Wong, the rider of OXBOW SUN, in the presence of his Master's B Trainer, Mr KS Tan, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding OXBOW SUN in Race 9 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 06 August 2017, near the 800m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of ANONYMOUS (V Duric), with that gelding being carried inwards, thereby crowding ARES (App I Amirul) and ELITE STAR (M Nunes). As a result of the crowding, ARES and ELITE STAR were both checked and ANONYMOUS had to be eased. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea, the degree of interference and carelessness and submissions from App Wong that he has been engaged to ride at the Singapore Race Meetings on Friday, 18 August 2017 and Sunday, 20 August 2017. The Stewards determined to suspend his licence to ride in races and acting under MRA Rule 48(5), the commencement of the suspension was deferred to begin on Monday, 21 August 2017 until Sunday, 27 August 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days). He was advised of his Right of Appeal.


RACE 10 [TF0997]

At the conclusion of an Inquiry on Friday, 11 August 2017, App CC Wong, the rider of SUN SEEKER, in the presence of his Master's B Trainer, Mr KS Tan, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding SUN SEEKER in Race 10 at the Singapore Turf Club Meeting on Sunday, 06 August 2017, shortly after passing the 300m, he allowed his mount to shift inwards, when insufficiently clear of APOLLO (App I Amirul), thereby resulting in that gelding having to be checked. When deciding on penalty, the Stewards took into account his record, guilty plea and the degree of interference and carelessness. App Wong was suspended from riding in races with effect from Monday, 28 August 2017 to Friday, 08 September 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days) and was advised of his Right of Appeal.

This penalty will be served consecutively following the completion of his suspension for careless riding from Monday, 21 August 2017 to Sunday, 27 August 2017 both dates inclusive (two Singapore Race Days).
