STIPE'S REPORT

LIM'S SHOWCASE (D Beasley) made contact with VON KRUMM (N Juglall) on a couple of occasions shortly after the start.

Passing the 250m, MR LUCK (App CC Wong) was momentarily held up between DARCI CHARMER (G Boss) and LIM'S SHOWCASE, which rolled outwards when giving ground. Shortly after, App Wong, the rider of MR LUCK, dropped his near-side rein.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on WINNING MAN (K A'Isisuhairi) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Beasley, when questioned regarding the run of LIM'S SHOWCASE, stated that the gelding was slightly slow to begin but then mustered speed quickly and travelled in a forward position. He added that LIM'S SHOWCASE travelled well in the middle stages, however, when placed under pressure entering the homestraight, LIM'S SHOWCASE began to lay outwards and failed to respond to his riding, giving ground over the concluding stages. He also reported that LIM'S SHOWCASE was making respiratory noises over the concluding stages and after the race. His explanation was noted. LIM'S SHOWCASE was impounded for routine veterinary and analytical examination. The Veterinary Surgeon reported that the horse exhibited signs of respiratory distress after the race. LIM'S SHOWCASE will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
