STIPE'S REPORT

HOST THE NATION (R Woodworth) and JELLY BEAN (App H Syafiq) bumped on jumping.

Shortly after the start, SUN MIRAGE (App CC Wong) shifted outwards and away from DUTY FIRST (M Kellady) bumping CONILAD (G Boss) onto JUSTICE DAY (A Munro), which had been carried inwards by FAITHFULLY (SY Moon). As a result, JUSTICE DAY and CONILAD both became unbalanced, with JUSTICE DAY losing ground.

Near the 900m, DUTY FIRST was crowded in onto HIMALAYA DRAGON (D David) by SUN MIRAGE, which shifted inwards.

Near the 800m, JUSTICE DAY eased when crowded for room between FAITHFULLY, which shifted inwards and DUTY FIRST, which shifted outwards.

MYSTIC MASTER (S John) and DRAGON SPIRIT both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 400m, JELLY BEAN, which was held up for clear running, had to be eased to avoid the heels of HIMALAYA DRAGON, which shifted outwards slightly.

Near the 200m, LONGHU (J Powell) eased when momentarily crowded between SUN MIRAGE and MYSTIC MASTER, which rolled inwards under pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DUTY FIRST which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder¿s test.
