STIPE'S REPORT

As to avoid a clash with an overseas race, this race was put back ten minutes and rescheduled to start at 1805Hrs.

GOL GOAL (M Kellady) was slow into stride.

NORTHERN KNIGHT (R Shafiq) and SPLINTER (N Juglall) bumped on jumping. SPLINTER then shifted outwards and bumped JUBILATION (App H Syafiq).

Near the 1200m, GOLD CROWN (App I Amirul) eased to avoid the heels of IN BOCCA AL LUPO (D David), which shifted inwards.

Near the 900m, SPLINTER, which was racing keenly, had to be steadied to avoid the heels of MARK ECLIPSE (App Y Salim), which shifted inwards.

GOLD CROWN raced wide throughout.

Passing the 700m, NORTHERN KNIGHT eased when momentarily crowded to the inside of JUBILATION, which shifted inwards and away from OPTIMUS (D Beasley).

MANGATOETOENUI (M Rodd) raced wide from the 600m.

Near the 250m, GOL GOAL was momentarily inconvenienced when SPLINTER shifted outwards when tiring. Shortly after, GOL GOAL was then held up for clear running for a short distance and shortly after passing the 200m, shifted outwards making contact with HUMDINGER (A Munro) on a couple of occasions.

The Farrier reported that OLIVER (J Powell) returned having cast its near-fore plate.

The Farrier reported that GOL GOAL returned having cast its off-fore plate.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SPLINTER which revealed no apparent abnormality.
