STIPE'S REPORT

ALAMAK BOY (S Sam) was slow to begin.

WHY NOT (R Woodworth) jumped away awkwardly.

Near the 1000m, ELITE GOLD (R Shafiq) commenced to race keenly after having to be eased off the heels of WEBSTER (M Nunes), which steadied in front. This resulted in ELITE GOLD then shifting outwards and making contact with SUPER TYCOON (N Juglall), thereby carrying that gelding wider on the track. This resulted in PRINCE ALEXANDER (V Duric), which was following, also having to be eased and TOP BANANA (D David) rolling outwards, carrying WHY NOT out with NEW SENSATION (J Powell) having to be steadied. Jockey Nunes was subsequently shown the film of the incident and warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.

Making the turn into the straight, SUPER TYCOON and WEBSTER brushed on a couple of occasions.

Approaching the 100m, Jockey Nunes, the rider of WEBSTER, momentarily dropped his near-side rein which he regained shortly thereafter.

Jockey Sam reported that ALAMAK BOY was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. ALAMAK BOY, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
