STIPE'S REPORT

To avoid a clash with the start times of overseas simulcast races which had been rescheduled, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 1445Hrs.

KING KONG (B Vorster), which jumped away awkwardly, bumped on a couple of occasions with RISKY ROCKEFELLER (M Nunes) shortly after the start.

RISKY ROCKEFELLER and KING KONG both raced wide throughout.

RUM N RAISINS (App CC Wong) was held up and unable to improve between the 600m and the 400m.

DUTY FIRST (J Powell) laid outwards over the final 100m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on CACTUS JACK (V Duric) which revealed that the horse returned having bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder¿s test.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on KING KONG which revealed no apparent abnormality.
