Due to the delay following the scratchings at the barriers in Race 4, this race was put back five minutes and rescheduled to start at 2025Hrs.

LINCOLN¿S EXCUSE (J Powell) was crowded on jumping between MAGNETISE (N Juglall) and SOON YI (App N Nurshahril), which jumped awkwardly outwards. Shortly thereafter, MAGNETISE and LINCOLN¿S EXCUSE were both crowded between SOON YI and GOLD CROWN (V Duric), which shifted inwards.

Approximately 50m after the start, CASTLE QUEEN (A Munro) was carried inwards by KEVIN ELEVEN (App Z Zuriman), resulting in CASTLE QUEEN becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of DREAMWEAVER (G Boss) and having to be steadied.

ELISE (R Woodworth) and LUCKY SIX (App MM Firdaus) both raced wide throughout.

MAGNETISE dipped on a number of occasions between the 800m and the 600m.

Shortly after passing the 600m, LUCKY STRIDE (D David) was eased when momentarily crowded between CASTLE QUEEN and MAGNETISE, which rolled inwards slightly.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LUCKY STRIDE which revealed no apparent abnormality. Jockey David will be questioned regarding the run of LUCKY STRIDE at date to be fixed.

Jockey Woodworth, when questioned regarding the run of ELISE, stated that after being caught wide throughout, his mount failed to respond to his riding and when placed under pressure entering the homestraight, it failed to run on as he would have expected. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ELISE which revealed no apparent abnormality.
