KRANJI STAKES D 1200M
DIVISION 3

BRISTOL DIAMOND (D Beasley) was restless in the barrier. Trainer J Peters
was advised that a warning has been placed on BRISTOL DIAMOND regarding
its barrier manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be
taken in future.

SIR REGINALD (App I Amirul) was slow to begin.

PURE JUSTICE (G Mosse) was inconvenienced on jumping when RACING
TALENT (G Boss) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Near the 900m, CAVATINA (R Woodworth) got its head up after being
steadied when racing tight to the inside of RACING TALENT and PURE
JUSTICE.

Shortly after passing the 800m, BARNATO (N Juglall) got its head up on a
number of occasions when being eased off the heels of BRISTOL DIAMOND.
As a result, BARNATO shifted outwards inconveniencing RACING TALENT.

MISS BLANCHETT (A Munro) raced wide from the 700m.

Passing the 300m, PURE JUSTICE rolled outwards making contact with
ASPREY (R Shafiq). ASPREY and PURE JUSTICE then brushed on a number of
occasions between the 300m and the 200m.

Over the final 200m, ASPREY laid inwards making contact with PURE JUSTICE
on a couple of occasions.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BARNATO which
revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Beasley, when questioned regarding the run of BRISTOL DIAMOND,
stated that the gelding never travelled comfortably throughout and when
headed by PURE JUSTICE near the 600m was immediately under pressure
and failed to respond to his riding in the homestraight. He added that in his
opinion, BRISTOL DIAMOND was very disappointing and he could offer no
tangible explanation for its performance. His explanation was noted. A
subsequent veterinary examination was requested on BRISTOL DIAMOND
which revealed that the gelding returned lame off-fore. BRISTOL DIAMOND
will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior
to being declared to race again.
