RACE 2 [TF0164]
RESTRICTED MAIDEN POLYTRACK 1100M
WEIGHT FOR AGE
(2 & 3 YEARS OLD)

MY HORSE (O Placais), KHUDAWAND (V Duric) and GOLDEN SPARK (A
Munro) all jumped away awkwardly.

MATSURIBAYASHI (M Zaki) became unbalanced on jumping after being
bumped heavily by LIMS ROYAL (D Beasley), which in turn had been
bumped outwards by DECRETO (I Azhar). As a result of this incident, LIMS
ROYAL checked and lost ground.

DECRETO raced wide from the 700m.

Approaching the 300m, LIMS ROYAL had to be steadied when GOOD
JUSTICE (O Chavez) rolled outwards. LIMS ROYAL was then held up for
clear running behind GOOD JUSTICE, which continued to shift outwards
under pressure.

Near the 200m, LIMS ROYAL, which was attempting to come to the outside
for clear running, made heavy contact with MATSURIBAYASHI.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both KHUDAWAND
and LIMS ROYAL which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Beasley, when questioned regarding the run of LIMS ROYAL, stated
that after being crowded on jumping, he found himself racing in a position
further back than anticipated. Thereafter, LIMS ROYAL was reluctant to
stride out due to the kickback. However, it commenced to make ground
when being ridden along near the 600m. He further stated that shortly after
entering the straight, he was inconvenienced when GOOD JUSTICE shifted
outwards. As a result, he then was held up on the heels of GOOD JUSTICE
for some distance before shifting outwards and making contact with
MATSURIBAYASHI, which was racing to its outside. After obtaining clear
running, LIMS ROYAL ran on fairly and would be better suited over longer
distances in future. His explanation was noted.
