SPECIAL RAIN (S John), which was fractious in the barrier, was taken out
and examined by the Veterinary Surgeon. Acting on veterinary advice, it
was withdrawn by order of the Panel of Stewards at 1313Hrs. SPECIAL RAIN
will be required to pass one starting stall test and a veterinary examination
prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).
ZAC ACE (N Juglall) was difficult behind the barrier. Trainer R Le Grange was
advised that a warning has been placed on ZAC ACE regarding its barrier
manners and to take steps to improve them or action may be taken in future.
MATSURIBAYASHI (M Zaki) jumped away awkwardly.
MAGNIFICENT (B Vorster) and MAKANANI (D David) bumped on jumping.
MAJOR TOM (O Chavez) checked on jumping when severely crowded
between KING KONG (M Rodd), which jumped inwards and TARZAN (App S
Shafrizal), which had been bumped and carried outwards by POMP (App CC

TOM would be suited racing over further ground in future. His explanation
