RACE 4 (R351)
I-CITY, a course scratching as it was found to be suffering from a float injury, will be required to undergo a veterinary examination before being declared to race again.
AGITATED which was down 22kgs in body weight and GLORY BETTING which was down 16kgs in body weight since their last runs, were checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon prior to the race and were passed fit to start.
Trainer C Robert was fined RM500/- for negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for failing to submit a gear change form within the stipulated time to use Special Plates on CIZEN WORLD.
CIZEN WORLD which dislodged Jockey R Woodworth on arrival at the start, galloped a short distance, was caught, checked by the Club Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and was reboxed. The gelding will be required to pass a test (starting stall, to be ridden unaided to the start) before being entered to race again.
PERFECT TARGET which was restless in the barrier, jumped awkwardly inwards and had to be straightened.
MORRISON was slow to begin.
CIZEN WORLD jumped awkwardly inwards, bumping AMAZING SURPRISE.
AGITATED raced keen in the early and middle stages.
Turning into the home straight, AMAZING SURPRISE had to steady outwards off the heels of CIZEN WORLD which rolled in.
In the early part of the straight, MORRISON had to steady when unable to secure a run between QBAH and SOLO BEAUTY which rolled in and thereafter switched out over the heels of SOLO BEAUTY to obtain a clear run. Approaching the 200M, MORRISON again had to steady when tightened between GENERAL GREG and SOLO BEAUTY which was taken out by QBAH.
Jockey A Kumar, the rider of JOHOR, reported that his horse was changing strides during the race. The Club Veterinary Surgeon reported that JOHOR returned having cast its near fore plate.
Jockey M Zaidi, the rider of NEW POWER, reported that his horse was not striding out freely. A post-race veterinary examination of NEW POWER revealed no obvious abnormality.
Jockey R Woodworth, the rider of CIZEN WORLD, reported that his horse did not act in the going.
